Deacon Dennis Holian was ordained in 2012. He has been teaching religious education for 28 years. He is a popular speaker on Bible study, prayer, marriage, occult and especially “Animals of the Bible”. Dennis works in a family construction business near Chicago with four brothers and his oldest son. Deacon Dennis and his wife Christine have been married for 36 years and are parents of seven children, grandparents of eleven and have been foster parents of many. The Holian family has many hobbies including sports, traveling, farming, raising beef cattle, gardening and real, live animals of the Bible Petting Zoo. The Holian family resides on their farm in Richmond, IL.

My name is Deacon Dennis Holian, and I visit parishes, schools and congregations to share my stories of animals of the Bible. God is a great storyteller. He gave us a book called the Bible to tell us our story. God used stories about ordinary things like animals, plants, food and land to help us understand His message better and to love God and each other more.

The stories about animals of the Bible also help you remember and understand God’s message of love to us. Along with each animal is a Bible reference where you can find each story about the animal in your Bible. These are stories that can be used for children of any age to dig deeper into the animal and faith stories.

Our family believes the teaching stories and interaction with Little Shepherds Petting Zoo will help us understand the love story of a God who loved His people and wants His people to love Him.
